Prayer

Prayer has always underlined all that we do at HAFF, but
this year, prayer seems to be a theme of the year.

Saturday evening 13 September, the men's choir from the Maranatha Church of Bohoc came to pray with the American staff of HAFF for the opening of school. It was a sweet time of song, scripture and prayer.

Then, Monday, 14 September was the first day of school at the Bohoc Training Institute, HAFF's secondary school. The morning started out with a fraction of the potentially 220 students BTI will have this year. But those students prayed, heard the word of God and met most of their teachers. Devotions will continue each school day at BTI and Headmaster Phanès Charles is stressing the need for teachers and students to faithfully gather together each day to “seek the Source of our strength together.”

Finally, Wednesday, 16 September was the first day of a new weekly prayer meeting. About 44 of the 70 some people who do the ministry at HAFF met to sing, share Scripture and pray. Now, the HAFF ministry team – Haitians and Americans together – will meet each Wednesday at 1:00 to pray for HAFF, each other and for prayer requests from the ministry team members and people in the community. Any member of the HAFF ministry team can come for however long they have. Won't you join with us in praying for HAFF, its ministries and the ministry team each Wednesday at 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time?
