It has been a blessing to have Gabi Van Schoyck back at HAFF since mid November. She has been a help and encouragement to her parents as well as to the rest of the staff. She and Connie worked as a team to keep up communication with the States while Greg and Barb were in Port-au-Prince right after the earthquake. And she has been working with Mme Telius and Mme Emmanuel in the clinic and has been helping the rest of the staff in so many other ways. Having majored in Community Development in college, her knowledge and counsel have been timely and valuable. She has also lent her time and energies to computer work, clinic inventory, sorting relief clothing and dividing up relief food.
Gabi is as yet unsure of how long she will remain at HAFF. She is getting ready to enter graduate school in the fall to pursue her studies in Public Health and is currently applying for grants and scholarships.
