The US Staff of HAFF is back in Haiti now. The Wilsons, Connie Curilla and Teresa Nesman returned to Haiti the 5th of May 2011 and Barb and Greg returned the 12th. They found on arrival that there had been virtually no rain since the delegation of missionaries came to Haiti in March. There were 2 or 3 good, encouraging rains at that time, but only one "medium" rain since. It has hot, dry and dusty and dryer than anyone can ever remember seeing it at this time of the year. The flowers in the photo with this post are a good illustration. The flowers on the left were photographed several years ago and are the normal formation. The ones on the right are on the same vine, but were photographed May 16th this year. They are not normal and have never been that way before.Last night, finally, there was a pretty good rain. Please pray for more rain. If there is no consistent rain soon, this will be the hungriest year in anyone's memory.
