HAFF missionaries are often asked, “What do IPB students do when they finish their schooling at HAFF.” That question has almost as many answers as HAFF has had students! Many students go back to their home areas, marry, start families, and continue the trade or farming that their parents have pursued before them. Other students apprentice in trades. Others start teaching in local primary or secondary schools or find a job in one of the larger cities. Some go to work at local organizations. Many become leaders in their churches and communities. A very few are able to go on for post secondary education. Some work many years to pay for school, but many who have the grades lack the means to go.
A number of years ago, HAFF received a gift establishing a small Post IPB Scholarship. Since then, HAFF has been able to help 14 former IPB students (several are pictured above) continue their studies at universities across Haiti. The students have studied Theology, Agriculture, Accounting, Nursing, Education, Community Development and Auto Mechanics.
