Thanks for Praying

Those of you who were praying for the new HAFF truck to be released from Customs, your prayers have been answered!!! Greg and Barb and Zach Van Schoyck and Connie Curilla and Met Gabriel Mompremier, HAFF's vice principal of the Bohoc Training Instutite, have spent many days since July working on getting the truck released, licensed and all the vehicle taxes paid. Met Gabriel spent the most time in Port-au-Prince. He called early in the last week of January to let us know that all was now ready for the truck to be driven to Bohoc -- all he needed was a driver!
Since we were unable to get a flight on Mission Aviation Fellowship out of Pignon, Bos Elizert Vilbon, HAFF's driver took a motorcycle taxi to Cap Haitian early Thursday morning the 28th. There he caught a flight on Missionary Flights International to Port-au-Prince. He picked up the Toyota Land Cruiser and started out for home. He didn't get far before he realized that the turn signals were not working. He went back to the dealer and they replaced whatever parts were missing and he was on his way again.
Bos Elizert called Greg back to let him know he was back on the road and given the last known state of the roads, we expected him back in Bohoc with the truck about 11 pm. He pulled in at 8:00! It only took him 4 hours to drive from Port-au-Prince to Bohoc! And now the truck is here. Here are a couple of photos:
