Other Creative Ways to Help HAFF

Others have helped HAFF in creative ways. Here are some of those stories.

One family raises money for HAFF within the family as a family Christmas project. There are nine households participating in the project and their gifts each year go to support HAFF's school, IPB. Their support does not end with the sending of their checks. They also keep the school and the students in prayer throughout the year.

Another family has an agreement that for special celebrations where a gift would normally be expected, the recipient-to-be chooses a nonprofit group to whom they would like their "gifts" given. HAFF was the chosen non-profit for one of this family's occasions this year.

A store owner in Texas privately designated Fridays as Missions Day. Friday sales at the store were the source for donations to various mission agencies. HAFF was a beneficiary of those donations for several years. The proprietor of the store noted that Friday frequently generated the most sales of the week.

The women of an Indiana church purchase and ship supplies for the Godly Woman class each year. A woman's sewing group in Michigan has made and shipped quilt kits for the same class. Many churches over the years have sent school supplies with their work study teams. If you would like to help with this kind of procurement for HAFF, get in touch with Colin and Carla Wilson (c.c.wilson@juno.com) or Derold Mompremier (deroldm@yahoo.fr) to see what the needs are.

If your church group, Sunday school class, youth group, or VBS wants to raise funds for HAFF, HAFF can provide information and materials for you. Photos can be sent to be used in advertising such an event or challenge. Back issues of the HAFF newsletter could also be made available. If you would like to help in this way, contact Connie Curilla (conniecurilla@hughes.net) to discuss the possibilities.
